The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is in partnership with Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE). ACE operates an annual competition series for university and college student entrepreneurs. The competitions begin at the regional level and then at the national level through the student entrepreneur program. The ACE national student entrepreneur champion will represent Canada at the GSEA Global Finals competition in November of 2009.

The 2008 ACE National Student Entrepreneur Competition Champion who represented Canada at the GSEA Global Finals was Joseph Moncada, owner of Sweet Tooth Candy Emporium and student from York University in Ontario.
